I love the snow. I love skiing on it (on trails, not hills), I love walking on it (with snowshoes), and I even love shovelling it off the driveway (most times). All of these pictures are taken between 44 and 45 degrees north, which means there is good light for most of the day, due to the low angle of the sun. Photographing the snow offers opportunties to find patterns -- sometimes subtle, sometimes stark -- along with pleasing textures. I love the snow.
