This is an example of a weekend project. After I discovered this lone tomato in the basket, I requested that it not be eaten or used in a recipe until I had my way with it.

The next day was Saturday and I spent several hours playing with different angles and lighting. All shots are with a 100 mm macro lens, and some of the close-ups use extension tubes. After approximately 60 different takes, I played with the images through the rest of the weekend and settled on these ten.
